Please note our studio is located on the second floor of a historic mill building and is accessible by stairs only (no elevator).
Give your child the gift of a lifelong skill this summer! In this specialized 4-day camp, young makers will learn the fundamentals of machine sewing, fabric layout, and straight-line piecing to create their very own patchwork quilt.
No sewing experience? No problem. You will explore quilting basics, choose your favorite fabric combinations from our awesome studio collection, and map out your custom layout. From there, you will learn to machine-piece your squares together and finish your quilt using a classic, cozy tying technique that adds the perfect handmade touch.
Our mill space provides a calm, creative screen-free environment where kids can slow down, focus, and take pride in making something with their own two hands. Because we keep our class sizes intimately small to ensure dedicated, safe, and patient machine guidance, spots are highly limited.
What’s Included:
20 Hours of Instruction: Four days of private studio time and dedicated sewing guidance.
Studio Tools: Full use of our studio sewing tools.
Quilt Top Materials: All pre-cut premium fabrics and supplies to design and piece the quilt top are included in the registration fee. (We’ll chat about backing and batting choices during class!)
What to Bring: Please bring your own sewing machine in good working order, along with its power cord, foot pedal, and manual.

Need a Machine? If you don’t have a machine, you can reserve a studio machine. Machines are limited, so please reserve yours in the date selection menu.
- Pack a Lunch: Because we sew right through the midday hour, please pack a nut-free lunch and a water bottle each day for our creative lunch break!
- Socks & Slippers: To keep our textile workspace cozy and clean, our studio is a shoe-free space. Please ensure your maker brings a favorite pair of cozy socks or slippers to wear while creating!
